Use Monthli to track your own expenses, lawfully, in your own life.

Monthli is a personal expense tracker for individuals and households. You agree to use it for your own purposes, and not in ways that break the law. That’s the whole obligation — that covers the essentials.

What you’re responsible for.

Your data is your responsibility. So is your device.

Because Monthli stores your expenses on your device (and, if you turn sync on, in your own private repository), the integrity of your data depends on you keeping that device and that repository safe. Back up your sync repository like you would any record you care about.

Intellectual property.

Monthli is ours. The data you put into it is yours.

The Monthli app — its name, mark, design, and code — is owned by Monthli. You may not copy, redistribute, or reverse-engineer it beyond what local law allows. The expenses you record inside it belong entirely to you; we do not claim, license, or analyze them.

Limitation of liability.

Monthli is a tool to record numbers. It is not financial advice.

The app is provided as-is. We’ve built it carefully, but we cannot guarantee it will be perfect, uninterrupted, or error-free. Decisions you make about your money are your own; Monthli’s totals and charts are a reflection of what you typed in, not a recommendation about what to do next.

Monthli is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. We do not make warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, regarding the app or its accuracy.

To the extent permitted by Indian law, Monthli is not liable for consequential or indirect losses arising from use of the app.

Pricing & subscriptions.

₹0 to track your expenses. No ads. Advanced features may be paid in the future.

Tracking your expenses is free and intended to stay that way. We do not run ads. Advanced features like bill scanning may become paid in the future; if that happens, you’ll hear it from us first, in full sentences, before anything ships.

Termination & suspension.

You may stop using Monthli at any time. Uninstalling removes local data; your sync repository remains under your control.

We reserve the right to suspend service in cases of clear abuse — for example, attempting to disrupt the vision service used for receipt scanning. In ordinary use, this section will never apply to you.

Changes to these terms.

If we change these terms, we’ll note the date and explain what changed.

Material changes — anything that affects how your data is stored, processed, or paid for — will be announced before they take effect. Cosmetic edits (clarifying a sentence, fixing a typo) are made quietly and reflected in the “last updated” date below.

Questions, complaints, and corrections are read by a real person. Disputes that can’t be resolved by writing to us will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, India.
